Information about the galas

The secondary school competition is split into three age groups; Junior (Years 7 & 8), Intermediate (Years 9 & 10) and Senior (Years 11, 12 & 13). Swimmers compete within their own age group for individual and relay events. Please note, the Senior relays have been replaced by Open Age Group relays. The team events are: 4 x 50m Medley and Freestyle Relays and a 6 x 50m Cannon Relay. The individidual events are: 50m breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and freestyle for boys and girls for individual events within each age group.

We are delighted to announce that there are now 50m Para events for those Para classified swimmers. Please see the form for further information.

Within each heat, all the swimmers for one event will swim in graded heats. This means, for example, in the girls 50m backstroke all the swimmers in this event at the first heat at Easton Leisure Centre, will be sorted into races where they will swim with swimmers of similar ability, regardless of age. Swimmers need to remember that although they may be racing against someone in a different age group, only swimmers in the same age group will compete in individual finals. There will be heat declared winners for all events.
